Anyway the heating expanded the hardware inside which caused the red rings problem so a little tip is to make sure that your console is well ventilated when you play it. Do not put your console inside an entertainment unit or similar as it will just make the problem worse and you will most likely end up with the Red Rings of Death a lot quicker.
Now if you don’t feel like giving Microsoft $200 to fix your console which because of their inept design time lead to your problem, you can in fact fix the problem yourself. In some Red Rings of Death cases you will just need a bit of thermal paste and a screw driver to fix the problem.
